About Us

Attorney Laurie Adamshick earned her law degree at the University of Dayton School of Law. She developed her elder law practice as a result of her experience as the primary caregiver and advocate for her late parents. She knows firsthand how daunting it is to handle difficult financial, legal and care issues for an aging parent and is committed to helping others who are faced with doing the same. Her law practice focuses on comprehensive life care planning to help older adults plan, locate and pay for good quality care, and address the legal and other issues that come with living longer. Laurie is a Veterans Administration accredited attorney and a member of  ElderCounsel (www.eldercounsel.com/profile/36707), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Hawaii Estate Planning Council and a former Director of Hawaii Women Lawyers.

Attorney Tom Rulon earned his law degree at the Northwestern University School of Law. He has worked with thousands of older clients in the past 40 years doing estate planning and elder law and remains dedicated to helping them solve the long-term care planning and financial issues brought with age. Tom is a Veterans Administration accredited attorney and a member of  ElderCounsel (www.eldercounsel.com/profile/36708), the Hawaii Estate Planning Council (and a former Director), and a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.  He is an author and frequent lecturer on estate planning, trust and elder law. Tom is a Vietnam veteran who served with the United States Marine Corps.  He has served on the boards of many local charitable organizations and is currently serving as president the National Christian Foundation Hawaii.
